So that`s a question I should have asked myself before hosting a fundraiser on YouTube Live with Super Chat. You may have seen our 100% YouTube Live Super Chat fundraiser, here we were hosted for the Crime Victims Center in Chester County. We raised $776 on YouTube Super Chats which, at the time, seemed like an amazing idea. It was incredibly exciting because we IFTTT (If This, Than That) is integrated with YouTube to activate different devices in our room with great cats. For example, a super cat worth $1 would blow up a balloon and a super cat worth $20 would light a bubble machine. We may amend this agreement to reflect, for example, changes to our service or for legal, regulatory or security reasons. YouTube will provide an appropriate advance to any substantial changes to this agreement and the possibility of reviewing these changes. However, changes to new features of the service or changes made for legal reasons may take effect immediately and without notice. The changes will only apply in the future. If you do not accept the amended terms, you should remove all content you have downloaded and stop using the service. The organization providing the service is Google LLC, a Delaware-based company located in 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043 („YouTube,” „we,” „us” or „our”). References to youTubes „Affiliates” in these terms are other companies of the Alphabet Inc.
Super chat group and super stickers are not available if the live chat is disabled. When your use of the Service ends, the following terms of this Agreement will continue to apply to you: „Other Legal Conditions,” „About This Contract,” and the licenses you have granted will continue in limited cases, as stated in the „Licence Term.” Creators can use YouTube Super Chat to monetize when they go live. When someone goes live, they see a dollar billing symbol on the chat screen. By clicking on this icon, a cursor will appear on the screen. You can use it to decide on a dollar that you are willing to send to YouTuber. The dollar is not just a random number of donations. The more dollars someone pays, the more the person`s comment stays attached, up to five hours, and the more signs they can use in their message. A paid message appears on the chat screen in a different color than other messages, making them clearly visible to broadcasters. You can pedal through paid messages by clicking on colorful pins at the top of the chat window.
During its great google I/O keynote this week, Google Super Chats pointed out in a long segment around Slo Mo Guys, a YouTube duo with a preference for recording things in super slow motion. The Google presenter paid $500 for a great cat that not only made her message big and bold, but also triggered a horn that signaled to a group around the Slo Mo Guys that they were dethroning them with a bunch of water balloons. Now I only know live cams, but isn`t that their whole business model? If you pay to let another person carry out your little twisted fantasies, the end result is usually a loss of dignity on all sides. Unfortunately, there is also the possibility of trolling, with inappropriate comments and emoticons. Of course, creators still have access to YouTube`s moderation tools, and YouTubers can blacklist certain chat words and ban harassment of viewers, but YouTube has slowly made inappropriate comments about videos in the past. Will they be faster with these cat streams? In some cases, comments may match the streamer`s views, so it`s unlikely to be deleted, but that doesn`t make them any less repugnant.
